About 175 international business contacts visited Get Connected 2009

WFIA’s annual international business event was again a big success. Around 175 people visited Restaurant Gember on 26th of October, to take part in workshops, listen to interesting speakers and above all to expand their business network. All of this while enjoying a nice drink and some good food from the international food courts! After a few optimistic words from WFIA’s Director Imanda Wapenaar and NFIA’s Commissioner Bas Pulles, the Chairman of the WFIA-board, Vice-Mayor Frits Huffnagel, stressed the importance of foreign investors in the WestHolland region. He hoped this event and the Investor Relations program of the WFIA would contribute to maintaining and improving relationships with international companies, as they are seen as growth accelerators for our regional economy. As a highlight of the evening, Trendwatcher, Adjiedj Bakas gave a startling and inspiring performance on current trends and developments that will help to overcome this economic crisis. The positive vibe coming from all these presentations buzzed around for the rest of the evening, until the doors were closed at 21.00hrs.
