Chemical Concern Halfrid (www.halfrid.com) is an innovative Russian company that invented a so-called activator technology that contributes to a more sustainable future. Activators are a composition of organic compounds consisting of:
- Active substance of a molecular cluster structure (chemically inert)
- Solvent
- Additives
Activators significantly modify physical and chemical properties of the processed medium; as a consequence, physical and chemical processes taking place with its participation are changing.
Developed product line of activators is different for each medium:
- By chemical composition
- By use concentration
- By energy characteristics
Activation decreases entropy of the medium to be activated and accordingly such physical and chemical parameters as density, heat capacity, evaporation heat, viscosity etc., significantly modifies rate and directivity of many chemical reactions.
This technology has a positive sustainable effect on: the transportation / logistic sector, power generation and heat production, oil refining, oil production and agriculture sector.
Fact Finding trip
In order to penetrate the European market it is important that foreign companies first test their products by an European knowledge institute. Therefore the WFIA assisted the company with finding these knowledge institutes. Therefore the company visited last week:
- TNO Powertrains
- Wageningen WUR (Lansingerland)
- Improvement Center / Green Q (Lansingerland)
- City of Lansingerland / Westland
- Demokwekerij (Westland)
- Flora Holland
During all the meeting Halfrid found out that there could be a large demand for their product and this resulted in the fact that The North Gate B.V. (The Hague / www.tngbv.com) will be their partner in order to further develop their strategy in the Netherlands / Europe. The WFIA will assist them in the near future in order to bring this product successfully to the market and in order to contribute to a more sustainable and healthier environment.
