Opening of Chinese Gates in The Hague and meeting with RIA

Yesterday, Thursday January 28, the team of the Rotterdam Investment Agency paid a visit to meet our team. We are already in close contact with the RIA but it appears that both agencies can work closer together in promoting the province South Holland to get an even better result. Both parties can benefit from each others unique selling points and this cooperation will combine the strength of both agencies. But more important, the international prospects will get a more complete view of the business opportunities, key industries and location options the region has to offer.

An example of mutual promotion is the Medical Delta Initiative, based on the synergy of the universities of Leiden, Rotterdam and Delft – universities with vast expertise in the health science, medical technology and R&D.We can imagine that there are more opportunities possible for cooperation between the WFIA and RIA. We are looking forward to working together in the near future.

Right after this short introduction at our office, we went to the City Hall to celebrate the official opening of the Chinese gates in Chinatown The Hague. The Municipality had invited both the Chinese business network as well as the local and regional networks.

The two Chinese gates bring added value to the characteristic Chinese ambiance in The Hague’s Chinatown and they underline the stable relations between the Municipality of The Hague and the Chinese community. Although it rained at the official opening of the gate, I only saw smiling, happy faces.
